On Constitution Day of Ukraine, the Bilohorod Community made a powerful statement, showcasing the magnificent history of ancient Bilhorod, the heritage of the princely era, and the unbreakable Ukrainian identity. Our team presented our region at the large-scale festival «Kyivshchyna – Land of Strength», which brought together representatives of all 69 communities of Kyiv Oblast in Pereyaslav. Each region had the opportunity to show its unique face: culture, traditions, character, and people who create the modern history of Kyivshchyna every day.
A striking highlight of the event was the establishment of a new national record of Ukraine – the preparation of 1418 liters of authentic borsch with fried crucian carp prepared in the open air, which once again proved our hospitality and ability to unite around our common roots.
The Bilohorod location transported guests back to the times of Kyivan Rus. Visitors were greeted by the majestic images of Vladimir the Great and Princess Olha, and everyone was treated to the legendary Bilohorod kissel – a symbol of the wisdom, ingenuity, and resilience of our ancestors.

A special source of pride for the community was the performance of the folk choir «Princely Svoboda» from the village of Bilohorodka. It was our ensemble that had the honor of opening the festival, which the artists accomplished at the highest level.
The incredible festive atmosphere was enhanced by the venue itself – the Pereyaslav Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of the Middle Dnipro Region. This is the first open-air museum in Ukraine, where true Ukrainian spirit lives in each authentic house, craft, and song.
«The strength of Ukraine lies in its communities. In people who remember their past, preserve traditions, support one another, and together build the future. The Bilohorod Community has deep roots and a strong character. Our task is to preserve this heritage, develop it, and pass it on with pride to future generations», – emphasized Anton Ovsienko.
We express our sincere gratitude to the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Ruslan Kravchenko for this wonderful initiative, which united the entire region on this symbolic day. We are also infinitely grateful to the Department of Culture of the Bilohorod Village Council for the impeccable organization, preparation, and creation of a unique location of ancient Bilhorod. It was a large-scale effort, accomplished with great love for our native land and respect for our shared history!
