Supporting people during the most difficult moments and providing rapid assistance in recovery is the responsibility of the community. On June 18, a regular meeting of the Executive Committee of Bilohorod Village Council took place, during which a number of critically important decisions were made to support residents and defenders.
One of the key issues was the consideration of applications from residents of Sviatopetrivske village, whose households suffered damage as a result of an enemy attack on June 2. Committee members approved monetary assistance for 30 affected families. Of these, 29 applications concern damaged housing, and 1 application concerns housing that is currently unsuitable for habitation (funds will be directed to compensate rent for the family). In total, 455 thousand UAH was allocated from the community budget to eliminate the consequences of this shelling.
Community head Anton Ovsienko expressed special gratitude to partners who have supported residents from the first days: the Rokada Charitable Foundation for providing film and OSB boards, the Bucha organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine for tarpaulins, and the "Right to Protection" Foundation, which provided financial assistance to victims for urgent window replacement and home repairs.
In a separate major section, the Executive Committee considered the issue of social protection for the Defense Forces. Within the framework of the relevant municipal program, monetary assistance will be provided to active military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, families of fallen soldiers, as well as wounded defenders who are currently undergoing rehabilitation. In total, 57 such applications were approved for a total amount of almost 1 million UAH.
In addition, within the "Care" social program, committee members reviewed 99 applications from community residents requesting material assistance totaling over 1 million UAH (this also included payments to families whose property was damaged by Russian attacks).
