Today in Muzychі a football cup was held dedicated to the memory of our fellow villager and Defender of Ukraine Yevhen Chayka. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he stood to defend his native village, the Bilohirsk community, and the entire state.
I had the honor of joining the tournament along with the Hero's family, his friends, participants, and residents of the community to honor the memory of our warrior. A symbolic first kick was performed by Yevhen's son — Yaroslav. The Defender's parents, Lidiya Ivanivna and Viktor Fedorovych, were also present at the event.
Teams from Muzychі, Luka, Horenychі, and Knyazhychі competed for victory. Based on the tournament results, the places were distributed as follows:
1st place — Knyazhychі;
2nd place — Horenychі Junior;
3rd place — Muzychі;
4th place — Luka;
5th place — Horenychі;
6th place — Muzychі Junior.
An extremely touching moment was the winners' gesture: the team from Knyazhychі presented the won cup to Yevhen Chayka's mother. Additionally, during the competition, 14,560 UAH were raised and donated to the fallen warrior's son.
I express sincere gratitude to the tournament organizers — Yevhen's friends Dmytro Tsvirkun and Sergiy Nesterov, as well as the Youth and Sports Department of Bilohirsk Village Council and its head Vyacheslav Volovy for excellent organization. Thank you to the head of Muzychansky Starosta District Maria Masovets, all the teams, fans, and the café SVOЇ for treating participants to delicious pilaf.
Most importantly — to preserve the memory of our Heroes, support their families, and raise youth on the examples of true courage. Eternal memory to Yevhen Chayka! Thank you for your defense and heroism.
