The day before yesterday, we met in Bilohorodka, and today, we formalized our partnership in Kyiv. The French city of Bures-sur-Yvette (Île-de-France region) is now an official sister city of the Bilohorodka community.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed during the IV International Summit of Cities and Regions, held under the chairmanship of the President of Ukraine. For us, this is not just a formal document; it represents trust, support, and tangible shared plans for a European future.

One of the key areas of cooperation has already been established: the rehabilitation and mental health of our children. Thanks to this agreement, children from the Bilohorodka community will have the opportunity to travel to the suburbs of Paris for rest and recovery this year.
Another vital aspect of the memorandum is supporting the recovery of Ukrainian communities affected by the war. This includes sharing expertise and best practices in sustainable development, territorial resilience, and the preservation of cultural heritage.

Such partnerships are crucial for Ukraine today, as the journey toward Europe begins within local communities—through mutual trust and a shared vision. We are proud that the Bilohorodka community is becoming part of the greater European family, and we sincerely thank our French partners for their openness and solidarity!
