Today, another 45 children from Bilohorod community went on vacation to a children's camp in the Kyiv region. In addition, last week a group of 30 young residents of the community went to wellness programs in Sweden. In total, 75 schoolchildren have already had the opportunity to recharge this summer.
I personally participated in seeing off our children, who will spend the next two weeks in camp. They will enjoy active recreation, new friendships, fresh air, and time to recharge before the start of the new school year.
This time, children who need special attention and support went to the wellness program:
children from families of combat participants and deceased military personnel;
children from large families;
orphaned children and those deprived of parental care;
children from families of internally displaced persons (IDPs);
children in difficult life circumstances.
Financing for the trips was provided in advance under the Wellness and Recreation Program for Children of Bilohorod Village Council.
Modern childhood takes place under the sound of air alarms, in constant stress, and the realities of war. That is why the opportunity to change the environment, spend time in nature, communicate with peers, and simply feel like children is extremely valuable.
