Cardiologists from the Amosov Institute Held Their First Outreach Appointment in Bilohorodka Community

Nearly 100 residents of Bilohorodka Community received free consultations from Ukraine's leading cardiologists — right at home, without traveling to the capital. The event took place under the memorandum with the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M. M. Amosov.

Bilohorodka Community, March 19. For the first time in the community's history, leading cardiologists from one of the country's most powerful medical institutions came to the patients themselves. On the premises of the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise «Primary Health Care Center» of the Bilohorodka Village Council, the first outreach appointment of specialists from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M. M. Amosov took place.

Four high-level specialists came to the community: two adult cardiologists, a pediatric cardiologist, and an ultrasound diagnostics physician. Over two days, they examined about 100 patients — residents registered with the community's family doctors who primarily needed specialized care.

Among them were patients with congenital and acquired heart defects, arrhythmias, myocardial pathologies, ischemic heart disease, as well as children with cardiac conditions. For some of them, a timely consultation can be decisive for their health — and sometimes for their lives.

Previously, community residents with serious cardiac problems had to independently seek appointments at capital clinics. Now the situation is changing. The outreach appointment became possible thanks to the Memorandum of Cooperation between Bilohorodka Community and the Amosov Institute, signed in December 2025.

— Most importantly, our residents can receive consultations from specialists of this level directly in the community, without having to travel to the capital, — noted community head Anton Ovsienko.

The event was organized by medical center director Marianna Kurovska. The project was facilitated by the Director of the Amosov Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Lazoryshynets and Medical Director Olha Unitska.

This model of cooperation — from primary medicine to highly specialized cardiac surgical treatment — ensures continuity of care for community residents. According to the community head, outreach appointments will become regular.
