On Defenders of Ukraine Day, the best way to show gratitude to our military is through concrete help that they can immediately use to carry out combat missions.
Together with the heads of cities and communities of Kyiv Region, the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Timur Tkachenko and the acting head of the Kyiv Regional Council Yaroslav Dobrianskyi, we are on a two-day business trip to Kharkiv Region.

One of the stops was the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians. On Defenders of Ukraine Day, the military received drones, interceptors, and other equipment necessary for combat missions.
This time, the aid was formed through subventions that cities and communities of Kyiv Region directed to the needs of our military.
For me, the meeting with the fighters of the 72nd Brigade has personal significance. For more than three years, my nephew Volodymyr has been serving in its ranks. Bilohirska community has also repeatedly supported the Black Zaporizhians, providing necessary equipment in accordance with the requests of the military themselves.
This brigade is of special importance for all of Kyiv Region. At the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the fighters of the 72nd Brigade participated in the defense of Kyiv, in particular in the battles for Moshchun and in other directions of the capital's defense.

Today, Kyiv Region is returning part of the support that our military provided back then. And it's best when such gratitude has concrete results: a transferred drone, an interceptor, necessary equipment, and a fulfilled unit request.
I thank the fighters of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians for their service and defense of Ukraine.
Take care of yourselves and come back home.
Glory to our Defenders! Wherever you are and on whatever front you serve, Bilohirska community and all of Kyiv Region stand with you! 🇺🇦
