The rehabilitation of veterans and their return to a fulfilling peaceful life is our key priority today. I have signed another vital document — a memorandum of cooperation with MCOR Ukraine, an international prosthetics center for military personnel and civilians who have lost limbs.
Our cooperation began with immediate action. During our initial meeting, we agreed on prosthetics for 10 veterans from the Bilohorodka community. Therefore, today’s memorandum formally solidifies an already active partnership.
To date, 7 of our veterans have received primary consultations. Among them, Olha Benda and Mykhailo Melnyk have already received modern prostheses and are undergoing adaptation at the center. Five more veterans are awaiting procedures, including Valerii Frolov from Bilohorodka. Despite previous rejections due to the complexity of his case, MCOR is now crafting a high-functionality mechanical prosthesis for him to ensure full independence in daily life.
Demand is growing: while we started with 10 veterans, we now have 15 applications. Bilohorodka is the first community to initiate such cooperation with the center, and we are ready to share this experience with other districts in the Kyiv region.
I sincerely thank the MCOR Ukraine team and head of the center, Andrii Petruk, for their professionalism. We are restoring our Defenders' control over their lives. This is our duty to those who fought for our country.
