Yesterday, together with colleagues, the Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk, and the leaders of the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions' communities, I participated in the regional meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine. The Congress was chaired by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The main topic was the readiness of our territories for the upcoming winter and responding to potential challenges.
The Bilohorodka community is intensifying its efforts towards energy independence and power generation. We are mobilizing all available resources to ensure that critical infrastructure facilities function uninterrupted, even during prolonged blackouts. A separate block was dedicated to the protection of the Kyiv-Chernihiv direction. We continue daily coordination with the military, specifically regarding strengthening air defense, countering enemy drones, developing fortifications, and preparing the population for potential threats.
The Congress also raised the issue of repairing local roads, as their condition directly impacts logistics and the rapid movement of emergency services, ambulances, and rescuers. In our community, road surface renewals are currently underway in all settlements. Work has recently started in Sviatopetrivske, and we hope it will begin in Horenychi in the near future.
I would like to thank the President for his attention to the communities of the Kyiv region. The state begins with the people on the ground, and today it is the communities that form the foundation holding the rear, supporting the army, and restoring the country. We continue to work for the security and resilience of the Bilohorodka community!
