This year's September 1st in Bilohorod Community took place without traditional outdoor opening ceremonies. Due to the security situation, Knowledge Day for children began in shelters and semi-basement premises with the sound of air raid sirens.
Despite difficult conditions, educators managed to celebrate a holiday for 420 first-graders across five educational institutions in the community. The school year started with warm smiles, support, and traditional gifts — each first-grader received a "First-grader's Briefcase" from the Bilohorod Village Council with all necessary school supplies.
Anton Ovsienko emphasized that the community is making maximum efforts to preserve in-person education where the security situation allows:
